Last week Marta and Georg set up the advection equipment that in a previous FWF project was used at grasslands in the larch forest flux tower in Torgnon (Aosta valley) to quantify the contribution of advection to the CO2 balance of the forest.

Within the frame of the project ALCH4 (funded by Province of South Tyrol/Alto Adige), Kathi, Enrico and our intern Benni are busy conducting lake-atmosphere methane flux measurements using our mobile platform (see picture on Kalterer See/Lago Caldaro; link to short video).
Here a few impressions:
Karolina and Felix are on their way to Las Majadas to set up COS flux and SIF measurements that will complement a bunch of other activities at the site, including a HyPlant flight.
Today Karolina and others mounted the WhiteRef loaned from FEM (foreground) and our SIF system (background) to start jointly measuring hyperspectral reflectance and passive (sun-induced) fluorescence at Neustift within the frame of her Marie Sklodowska-Curie project COSIF. These measurements will be accompanied within COS/CO2 eddy covariance flux measurements and active chlorophyll fluorescence by means of a moniPAM.
